Termas Bonay is a play of contrasts: an urban oasis, decidedly wild.

An evocative space where nature is the protagonist, immersing the guest in a multisensory experience.

At Andreu Carulla Studio, all elements were custom-designed to provide narrative coherence to the space, in line with the vision and sensations intended to be conveyed. Additionally, through a careful selection of materials and unconventional techniques—yet highly functional—character and sustainability are brought to the project.

Fiberglass, commonly used in industry but rare as an aesthetic element, was chosen for the creation of planters, bollards, and the hammam roof.

It is a lightweight, highly durable, and resistant material that, combined with the plasticity of resin, results in translucent and highly expressive pieces that boldly showcase their construction and assembly, resulting in an organic and distinctly industrial aesthetic.

Utoopic, the studio’s editor, was responsible for producing the pieces through local artisans, using entirely manual techniques.

The terrazzo flooring was created using leftovers and scraps from construction, forming a unique mosaic with various dimensions and a geometric layout: terracotta dust for the color base, small fragments to add dynamism, and large pieces that contribute expressiveness to the piece.

The result is a singular, brutalist atmosphere with a lot of personality.
